1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the KnoBall mobile application and related websites, content, and services (collectively, the “App”) operated by KnoBall (“KnoBall,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, creating an account, or tapping “Get started,” you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility (ages 13+)

The App is intended for users who are at least 13 years old and is not directed to children under 13. By using KnoBall you represent that you are 13 or older. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms with you and consents to your use of the App. We do not knowingly allow accounts for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

3. Accounts

You may use KnoBall without creating a full account by tapping Play now (guest mode). Guest play lets you try the Daily Quiz and CPU Duels on that device without providing email, username, or date of birth.

A registered account is required for certain features: appearing on Today or This Week leaderboards, saving streaks and scores to your profile across devices, friend Duels and invites, username search, and optional profile details. You can sign in with email, Sign in with Apple, or Google. You agree to provide accurate information (including date of birth where requested), keep your login credentials confidential, and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. Progress such as Daily Quiz results, Pro status, and Active Duels is tied to your registered account so it can sync when you sign in on another device. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, appear fraudulent, or create risk for other users or the App.

You may delete your account at any time as described in the Privacy Policy and at https://knoball-legal.web.app/support.

4. The App and features

KnoBall offers football trivia experiences, including a free Daily Quiz, leaderboards, Duels (against a CPU or friends), optional virtual items (such as coins and powerups), optional advertising for free accounts, optional in-app rating prompts, and optional KnoBall Pro subscription features.

Guest play (Play now): you can complete the Daily Quiz and play CPU Duels without registering. Guest Daily Quiz scores are kept on your device for that session and do not appear on leaderboards, do not update streaks on our servers, and are not synced across devices until you create an account.

Registered accounts unlock leaderboard placement, streak tracking, friend features, and cross-device sync. Features may change over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

5. Daily Quiz and leaderboards

The Daily Quiz is a skill-based trivia game. Each Eastern Time calendar day has its own authored set of questions. A new quiz generally becomes available at 9:30 AM Eastern Time and remains playable until midnight Eastern Time that same day. From midnight until the next 9:30 AM Eastern drop, the live quiz is closed and the App prompts you to come back at drop time.

Guest users (Play now) may complete the Daily Quiz without registering, but guest scores are practice-only: they are stored locally on the device, do not appear on Today or This Week leaderboards, and do not update server-side streaks. Create a free account to compete on leaderboards and save progress across devices.

Leaderboards in the App are Today (registered players who finished that day’s quiz) and This Week (Monday–Friday combined totals). Saturday–Sunday quizzes do not add to This Week; they still count toward your day streak for registered accounts. Your leaderboard score is questions plus speed, as described in Game Rules. Players with the same total are ranked by total time (to the millisecond). Leaderboards display usernames, scores, and times to other players. Purchases, coins, powerups, and KnoBall Pro do not change Daily Quiz scoring or leaderboard standing.

6. Virtual items and purchases

Coins, powerups, and similar items have no real-world cash value, are not redeemable for money, and may only be used in the App as we allow. Purchases of digital content or subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) under that store’s terms. You do not need to create a full KnoBall account (email, username, or date of birth) before buying — guest play (Play now) or an anonymous session is enough, and Apple/Google handle payment. Creating a registered account is optional and helps sync coins, Pro, and powerups across devices. Except where required by law or the platform’s refund policies, purchases are non-refundable. Request refunds through Apple or Google, not KnoBall. Virtual items may be modified, reset, or discontinued.

7. KnoBall Pro auto-renewable subscriptions

KnoBall Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription. Title of service: KnoBall Pro. It unlocks benefits described in the App, which currently include: no ads, unlimited duel lives, Daily Quiz archive access (past quizzes with answers unlock when the next Daily Quiz drops at 9:30 AM Eastern), and early access to new sports when available.

You may subscribe without registering a full KnoBall account — guest play (Play now) is sufficient, and payment is handled by Apple or Google. Optional account creation helps restore and sync Pro across devices.

Subscription lengths and U.S. prices (local prices and taxes may vary by storefront and will be shown by Apple or Google before you pay):
• Monthly — 1 month — $2.99 USD (product ID: knoball_pro_month)
• Annual — 1 year — $24.99 USD (product ID: knoball_pro_annual)

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID (or Google Play account) at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same length and price unless we have notified you of a change. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device account settings: iOS — Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; Android — Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Restoring purchases is available in the App where applicable.

8. Advertising

Free accounts may see third-party interstitial advertisements from Google AdMob after certain gameplay moments — currently after you miss a Duel question and choose to continue (for example, Watch opponent or Back to lobby). KnoBall Pro removes those ads. Ads are provided by third parties and may collect device identifiers as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not guarantee any particular ad, fill rate, or ad experience.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to: cheat, automate, or exploit bugs to gain unfair advantage; harass, threaten, or abuse others; impersonate anyone; scrape or reverse engineer the App except as allowed by law; interfere with servers or security; upload unlawful or infringing content; or use the App for any illegal purpose. We may remove content, reset progress, or ban accounts that violate these rules.

10. User content

You may provide a username, avatar, bio, or optional social handles. You represent that content you post, including social handles, does not violate law or others’ rights. You retain ownership of your content, but you grant KnoBall a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and use that content in connection with operating and promoting the App. Public profile information, leaderboard scores, and quiz times may be visible to other users.

11. Intellectual property

The App, including trivia questions, explanations, artwork, mascots, trademarks, and software, is owned by KnoBall or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the App as allowed by these Terms, no rights are granted to you. NFL, team, and player names appearing in trivia are used for educational and entertainment purposes; KnoBall is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NFL or any team unless we expressly say so.

12. Third-party services and links

The App relies on third-party services such as Apple, Google (including Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Analytics, and Google AdMob), and subscription tools (for example Superwall). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. Optional social links you add may open third-party sites or apps we do not control.

13. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KNOBALL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that scores, leaderboards, or sync will always be accurate or available.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KNOBALL AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify KnoBall and its team against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

16. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. You may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy, in Settings, or at https://knoball-legal.web.app/support. We may suspend or end access immediately if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive termination. Canceling a subscription does not automatically delete your account; manage subscriptions separately in Apple or Google account settings.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms in the App and at https://knoball-legal.web.app/terms and revise the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App and delete your account.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of North Carolina, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence require otherwise. Courts located in North Carolina will have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes that are not resolved informally, except where prohibited.
